Accounting in the Hall/Miller family is a long tradition spanning 3 generations.

It all started when Clarence Miller began Timberline Accounting in Slave Lake in 1968, where his daughter Gail Hall (nee. Miller) began working for her father doing menial, but important tasks such as filing and cleaning. Ten years later the family moved to Coronation and changed to Coronation Accounting Services. We operated in Coronation until 1983 when once again the entire family moved. This time it was to Wainwright and Clarence with Gail opened Wainwright Accounting Services. It was here in Wainwright where our story takes a big turn. As the demand for certified professionals was increasing Clarence realizes that for his family business to continue to succeed he needed someone to step up and become that certified professional.

Barry took on that challenge and enrolled in the CGA program. The year 2000 is a big one for our family as Barry graduates from the CGA program and takes over the firm. Lucille Meakins joins the firm this year as well as our second CGA. Travis Hall (Barry & Gail’s youngest son) joins the firm in 2002 and begins his trek towards a CGA designation. In 2004 we gain the services of Scott Tobin who is fresh out of the University of Lethbridge with his Bachelor of Accounting Science and a drive towards finishing through the CGA program.

Our office currently employs 8 full-time staff members including 2 CGAs and 2 CGA students. During tax time a few more members join us to help with the increased work load.
